Well, I have some more blocks done.  And have been working on a sashing.  And I think that has been my hold up.  Wanted something different for the sashing - just don't know if this works or not.  Maybe should just go with the standard dark/light/dark strips and leave it at that. 
These blocks have not been laid out in any order. This will probably be 5 x 6 blocks.

Looks great and the little churn dash blocks in there are a wonderful idea. I think you should go with it!

I love plaid quilts. I have not made many but they are always so warm looking.

I like the way you repeated the small churn dash in the corners of the sashing. I have a hard time with sashing and borders too. Sometimes it helps to lay out all your options side by side and stand back and see which one grabs you.

Hi, just a thought but why don't you try off setting the blocks rather than having them in straight lines. It just might add another dimension to the quilt.
