These are the blocks I have been working on with my shirt plaids.  I have quite a few of the dark plaids but have figured out that I need quite a few more of the lights.  So another trip to the Salvation Army is in my future.  You can go to my last post to see more information about the shirts that are in these blocks.  I haven't decided yet how they are going to go together or how big this project will be.  We'll see.

I am also quilting on my RRCB.  It would be going so much faster if I could just see where I have already been quilting.  My thread blends in so well on all those strip blocks.  Makes for slow going.  I decided to just go with meandering on it.  So far it looks good.  It's just not very far along.  Patience, Patience.

Visit Patchwork Times to see all the great projects that are posted.

I have a photo up of quilting my RRCB too. Yours is wonderful...I have the same problem with the thread. Luckily I picked a variegated. Occasionally when the thread color switches, I can see the thread. Now I am out of thread and have to go back to the quilt shop.

Love the blocks, thinking I might have to try those in batiks!

I get frustrated with myself when I cross over my previously quilted areas. Sometimes I just can't pick a darker thread for the project. I find using my little Ott lite helpful.

I love, love, love that cotton boll quilt. Great getting it so far.

That is one of my favorite blocks - the churn dash - with or without the mini in the middle. It's so good to see a big quilt being quilted on a domestic machine.

Way to go!

I can see where it would be difficult to see your quilting but I am so impressed that you have it all done. It looks great even stuffed in your machine. ;-)

I am so excited to see a couple of RRCB quilts at this stage .... I am "almost" there, but not quite. Glad you gave us a heads up about the quilting thread - I may just go to a darker antique beige so I can see where I am going. Great Job!
